I am an idiot when it comes to mixing and mastering and what-not. I guess and I go with what sounds good to me. Anyway, I appreciate any comments and criticisms about the song itself, and definitely appreciate any advice on the mixing end. Cheers, and I hope you dig the song!

Thanks very much! I will try to tweak it a bit- there are a couple more things I want to add to round it out. And I am brand new to the forum. My buddy, who turned me on to Reaper about 3 years ago, is an audio engineer, so whenever I recorded some stuff, I'd take the files to him, and he would make it sound good. So there wasn't a hell of a lot of incentive for me to sharpen my skills. But I got tired of muddling through and decided to come here and try to gain some knowledge. So thank you again for your advice! I've already heard a couple of really talented artists on here, and look forward to hearing and sharing more.

I kind of like where your vocals are parked. I noticed your tags on SoundCloud (Weezer/Foo) and this is very similar to how they do vocals. They are nested in there barely peeking through the guitars. Speaking of Foo....wow, then the distorted part kicked in, I was really digging that. At 2:55 there's a HUGE drop in energy when you take that back out. I don't know if you can introduce that rockin' part and not carry it through till the end. I'd keep it going...and maybe push it down in volume so it gels with the sound from the first half. Vocals do need a tiny DB boost - maybe. You might completely fix it by automating vocals levels manually and giving the attack of each phrase a small boost.
