I've recently had this problem. I gave the idle air control valve and the throttle body a good clean. I've done around 500 miles since with no re-occurance. Ant.

I had to clean my idle air control valve twice. The flap inside has to be very floppy. I cleaned it (the second time) with thin strips of rag and carb cleaner. I've used this fella before if you need any bits; Ant.

Hi, one other idea off the top of my head... I managed to accidentally catch the throttle cable when doing jobs like this, is it possible the cable's been stretched somehow? Cheers, Pete
