Make sure they fit the chrome surround before they refit the windscreen, otherwise its a nightmare! Also you MUST have a new seal, leaky screens are the death knell for an Amazon. Also whilst they have the screen out, clean up your aperature and check for rust holes. Plug them if you have time as water getting in here will kill the bulkhead and eventually 'a' posts Good luck - I hope yoy get a helpful chap and not a 'monkey'... Baz

IPD, in Oregon USA, has a windshield rubber guaranteed not to leak. They are reputable and say that it is not the same as the stock replacement. I don't know if they ship to the UK but they probably will. If not and you are interested I could help, I've done it before.

Hi, I arranged a bulk buy from IPD last year which went well. However, for individual items, having a "friend" who happily sends "gifts" to his "friends" in the Uk could well be an advantage. Of course, I would be the LAST person to recommend that people try to avoid legitimate customs or excise duties. :D I certainly would not condone this sort of behaviour. :roflmao: Would I.. :) Des. . . ;)

Aren't you A? Your last parcel nearly ended in my house being raided by armed police.... Take the middle sections out first then pull the 'c' sections out sideways (e.g. left and right, not up and down), becareful not to twist them. If I were you (and you have a sheet of plastic) break the screen pull it out and take the rubber off with trim once its out the car. Then cover up the hole with the sheet! A more sensible idea would be; Undo all the internal screws that hold the black metal internal screen surround on. Remove these bits and peel back the widcreeen from inside in a top corner. Then slowly push the screen from the corner then increasingly along its length and it will slowly pop out. I guess you are not worried about breaking it as its being replaced (I have removed 4 screen lisk this successfully - just to get the chrome surrounds). Then the chrome, rubber and winscreen are removed together. Then take the rubber off the glass, and lastly the chrome off the rubber. If you co*k up I have a spare chrome surround if you need it (and its not twisted like its owner!) Hope this helps Baz
